Our Ormana tour starts between 8:30 and 9:30, when our professional guides (German, English and Russian) pick you up from your hotel in the Side area in comfortable, air-conditioned vehicles. Once all guests are on board, we set off. Our first stop is a 20-minute break at an orange orchard in the village of Sarılar, where your guide introduces the different orange varieties and you can relax with a glass of freshly squeezed juice. Heading on towards the Taurus Mountains, after a 30-minute drive we reach Avasun, a village known for its beauty. Here your guide shows you village life and the local plants, and on a short walk you can pick bay leaves and regional fruit. After a pleasant ten-minute walk we reach a viewing terrace at 1,200 metres – time for a short photo stop with breathtaking views of the Oymapınar and Manavgat reservoirs. A 30-minute drive then takes us to the village of Ürünlü with its unique “button houses”, an architectural gem of the region. A 15-minute guided walk gives you an insight into these special buildings before we stop for a coffee break. Next, we continue to Altınbeşik Cave, home to the third-largest underground lake in the world. After an informative introduction by your guide, you marvel at the cave's natural wonders on an impressive 15-minute inflatable boat ride. Afterwards, a 20-minute drive brings us to Ormana village for lunch. We then continue to the village of Belenalan, where you have half an hour to explore historic sights such as an old primary school and an Ottoman-era mosque. About an hour after leaving Belenalan – between 17:30 and 18:00, depending on where your hotel is – you are back at your hotel.
