Manavgat River Boat Tour & Bazaar

For the boat tour, we pick you up from your hotel in the Side area between 08:30 and 09:30 in our comfortable buses. On the roughly half-hour drive to our pier on the Manavgat River, you can enjoy beautiful views of the forests. Our friendly crew will welcome you on board. The boat has three decks: on the first deck you will find a bar where you can buy drinks, comfortable seating areas and ten showers at the stern. Below the first deck there are 15 toilets and changing cabins. The second deck has another bar, comfortable seating and a dance floor, and the third deck has a sun terrace for sunbathing. Once all guests are on board – usually within 20 minutes – the tour begins. Our professional English-, German- and Russian-speaking guide will tell you about the boat and the day's program. We then sail for 35–40 minutes to the mouth of the Manavgat, where the river flows into the sea. Along the way you will see shipyards, trout farms, the Taurus Mountains and Manavgat's football stadium, and with a bit of luck you may spot turtles on the riverbank. During the trip, our guide takes reservations from guests who would like to visit the Manavgat Waterfall. At the river mouth, we moor at our jetty and take our first swim break at Cennet Beach (“Paradise Beach”). Here the emerald-green water of the Manavgat meets the blue of the Mediterranean – one of the few beaches in the world where you can swim in both fresh and salt water. During the one-hour break, you can swim, sunbathe or ride a jet ski (extra charge). If you get hungry, you can buy delicious gözleme freshly made by local women. Meanwhile, our kitchen team grills fresh trout and chicken and prepares the lunch buffet, which you can help yourself to once you are back on board. After lunch, we head back and, after a 30-minute river cruise, dock again at our pier in Manavgat. From here, our vehicles take guests with a waterfall reservation to the Manavgat Waterfall and all other guests to the Manavgat bazaar, the largest market in the region. Our guide will tell you the meeting point and time. We spend about 2.5 hours at the market; guests who visit the waterfall still have about 1.5 hours at the market afterwards. Once all guests have arrived at the meeting point, the bus takes you back to your hotel.
