Enjoy breathtaking views of the Mediterranean and the city of Antalya on a scenic cable car ride. You'll also visit the Düden Waterfalls, the city's most popular waterfalls.

Overview

We pick you up by bus from your hotel in the Side area between 8:20 and 9:20, and the tour begins. On the drive to Antalya, which takes about an hour, your guide introduces himself and explains the program. While he tells you about Antalya's past and present, its geography, culture and history, we approach our first stop: the Lower Düden Waterfall (Karpuzkaldıran), the largest waterfall in Antalya. You have 30 minutes here. The waterfall is famous for its natural beauty: the Düden River, which rises in the Taurus Mountains, flows across the plain, partly underground and partly above ground, before plunging from a height of 38 meters into the Mediterranean. After taking some unique photos, we drive across the city and reach our second stop, the cable car, after 45–60 minutes. Opened in 2010, it is 1,706 meters long. Once your guide has handed out the tickets, we board cabins that hold 6–8 people. The 13-minute ride offers a magnificent panorama as we climb to Tünektepe, 605 meters high, with views of the city of Antalya and its harbor, Konyaaltı Beach and Rat Island (Sıçan Adası). At the top there are wonderful photo opportunities: the beautiful Taurus Mountains, beaches stretching for kilometers and the Mediterranean Sea. Enjoy the unique view over a drink at the café. After 40–45 minutes at the summit, we take a leisurely ride back down to our bus. About 30 minutes later we reach our last stop, the old town of Kaleiçi. There your guide tells you the meeting point and time, and your two hours of free time begin. You can stroll through the lanes of the old town and see buildings from the Roman (2nd century AD) and Seljuk periods, the Fluted Minaret (Yivli Minare) – the symbol of Antalya – as well as Ottoman-era mosques and houses (15th–19th centuries). If you like, you can head to the marina, take a 45-minute boat trip around Kaleiçi and have a meal at one of the fish restaurants. You can also go shopping, or sit in one of the cafés and enjoy a drink with a unique view of Antalya, the Mediterranean and the Taurus Mountains. At the agreed time we meet again at the meeting point, board the bus and set off on the journey back. You'll be back at your hotel between 17:15 and 18:15. We say goodbye – and look forward to seeing you again on another tour.
